Our Executive Team

We have a single Executive Team for BLMK, consisting of the following people.  

Patricia DaviesPatricia Davies,  Accountable Officer

Our Accountable Officer, Patricia Davies, originally trained as a nurse before moving over to general management, she has now held a number of Director level positions across the NHS. Before joining us, Patricia was the Accountable Officer for two North Kent CCGs and instrumental in the review of Stroke, Vascular and trauma services across the region. Still a registered nurse, Patricia is a member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development. Her experience working within both acute and commissioning settings has been vital for leading partners, colleagues and staff through the One Team Programme and transition stage.

Chris FordChris Ford, Chief Finance Officer 

Chris Ford joined the BLMK Collaborative in 2018 as the Chief Finance Officer. Still working within this role, Chris is also our Deputy Accountable Officer working closely with Patricia. With a finance career spanning 30+ years Chris has a breadth of experience and knowledge gained from his several roles within various NHS organisations. A certified chartered accountant, Chris has a strong track record of delivery in terms of financial targets, meeting strategic objectives and developing and delivering financial resilience.

Jane Meggitt,Jane Meggitt, Director of Communications and Engagement

Previously a journalist, our Director of Communications and Engagement, Jane Meggitt, has a wealth of experience working in a range of NHS sectors. Jane’s 12 years as a Communications Director has developed her expertise in communications and public engagement and she holds strong skills in strategy, stakeholder engagement and media relations, putting the patient’s voice at the heart of all decision making. Very dedicated to professional communication, Jane co-developed the first ever MA for NHS communications professionals at Leeds Beckett University.

Anne MurrayAnne Murray, Chief Nurse 

After training to be a registered nurse at Bedford Hospital and following a clinical career in accident and emergency, trauma and orthopaedic nursing our Chief Nurse, Anne Murray, moved into nurse management. Working at Director level since 2010, Anne’s wealth of knowledge for working in acute and management settings and her knowledge of the local population allows Anne to effectively guide and support her colleagues.

Dr Sarah Whiteman, Medical Director 

Ex-Royal Air Force, our Medical Director, Dr Sarah Whiteman is committed to multi-professional education, having been an Associate Postgraduate Dean in addition to roles with NCAS and GMC. Her current post encompasses professional leadership and development where she works closely with many teams within the CCG. Her portfolio includes time spent as a GP in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Geraint DaviesGeraint Davies, Director of Performance and Governance

Joining the CCG in January of last year, Geraint Davies has a wealth of experience working at Board level for the NHS. This includes a wealth of knowledge and experience of programme and change management in both clinical and managerial settings vital for transitioning from three to one CCGs. As well as his knowledge of service improvement Geraint’s skills are paramount in his role as Director of Performance and Governance.

Nicky PoulainNicky Poulain, Director of Primary Care

After working as a nurse, midwife and community specialist practitioner in London, Nicky Poulain, our Director of Primary Care, has held a number of Director roles across the NHS in Hertfordshire before moving to Luton CCG in 2017. Nicky’s strives for an integrated and personalised health and social care system for the local population with her main focus on commissioning services which are focussed on the patient.

Richard AlsopRichard Alsop, Director of Commissioning and Contracting

With over 30 years’ experience in NHS commissioning, Richard Alsop, Director of Commissioning and Contracting, has a strong record of delivery and service transformation. Richard’s extensive skills in the development of strategy and implementation through effective planning, procurement and performance management has led him through many achievements during his time in his previous role as Chief Operating Officer for Milton Keynes CCG.
