Information about receiving your vaccine
Vaccinations are being rolled out across BLMK… but in the meantime…
Health bosses across the Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group have confirmed that all areas are now receiving the coronavirus vaccine.
Now that vaccinations are being delivered they want to remind the public of five key points.
Firstly, and most importantly, remember to always observe hands, face, space, it is vital that we continue to follow the rules to keep everyone safe.
Secondly, while we appreciate everyone is keen to get the jab, please don’t contact your surgery. They are working through the priority list set by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) and will be in touch as soon as it is your turn. Initially it will be focused on people aged over 80, care home residents and staff, and front-line health and social care staff.
Next, when you do get a time for your vaccination, on the day of your appointment please turn up on time. Don’t come early as there are limited waiting areas and people will be asked to leave and come back. This is important to ensure that social distancing is observed at all times and we want everyone to stay safe.
We know that while you are waiting to hear about an appointment you may have some questions. Most of these can be found here on our FAQ page, which is constantly updated.
Finally, this is a huge programme and not everyone will be called in the first week. It may take time before you are contacted, but you have not been forgotten it will take a few weeks to get through the first people on the list.
