Felicity Cox – ICS Executive Lead and CCG Accountable Officer
Felicity was appointed as the ICS Lead and joined on 1 December 2020. Felicity is a qualified pharmacist and maintains her clinical roots through her continuing professional development.
Prior to joining the ICS Felicity was the Director of Quality, Transformation and Delivery in the National Specialised Commissioning Team of NHS England & Improvement.
Felicity was Director of Commissioning Operations (NHSE) in the South East from January 2015 until April 2019 and previously was Area Director in Wessex for 9 months, after a year in the same post in Kent and Medway. Prior to joining NHS England Felicity held chief executive roles in two primary care trust (PCT) clusters, NHS Kent and Medway and NHS Bedfordshire and Luton. Felicity has also previously worked as a chief executive in PCTs in Nottinghamshire and Hertfordshire. Felicity started her NHS career in Bedfordshire.
As part of her national contribution Felicity is the Area Team Director on the Primary Care Oversight Group and Chaired the 0-5 Transfer Board prior to the successful transfer of health visitor commissioning to the local authorities.
Felicity was the national lead negotiator for the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework for NHS Employers from 2004 – 2015.
As well as long experience in commissioning all health services and the provision of community and mental health services, Felicity has worked in community and mental health services at Board level within the NHS. Felicity is a registered pharmacist and worked in the private sector in both community pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry as Marketing Manager before joining the NHS. She has also worked in management consultancy.
