Patient and Public Engagement Joint Committee
The Patient and Public Engagement Joint Committee (PPEJC) is a formal sub-committee of the CCGs’ Governing Bodies. The committee held its first meeting in June 2020.
The committee oversees the CCGs’ activities to make sure patients and the public are being suitably involved in decisions about local NHS service. The main responsibility of the committe is:
- to co-produce and scrutinise engagement and formal consultation plans, providing advice and guidance to ensure they are fit for purpose
- act as a sounding board
- review engagement processes for involving patients and public, including seldom heard groups, Black Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities and the most affected patient populations in BLMK.
