Patient and Public Engagement Committee
The Patient and Public Engagement Committee (PPEC) is a formal sub-committee of the Governing Body.
The committee oversees the CCGs activities to make sure patients and the public are being suitably involved in decisions about local NHS services. The main responsibility of the committee is:
- to co-produce and scrutinise engagement and formal consultation plans, providing advice and guidance to ensure they are fit for purpose
- act as a sounding board
- review engagement processes for involving patients and public, including seldom heard groups, ethnic minority communities and the most affected patient populations in BLMK.
