Gestational diabetes is high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth. It can happen at any stage of pregnancy. For all necessary information and care about yourself and your baby please speak to your midwife.

In Bedfordshire we also offered ongoing management for Post Gestational Diabetes care, This is a combination of self-referral to Diabetes Prevention education and annual check up to women who had Gestational Diabetes.
