New opportunities for Milton Keynes citizens to get their COVID-19 vaccination

New vaccination pop-ups are being set up in Milton Keynes, as the COVID-19 vaccination programme moves into its next phase. For the first time, walk-in sessions for first, second, booster and Spring booster COVID-19 vaccinations will be delivered at the Christ the Cornerstone Church, 300 Saxon Gate, Milton Keynes, MK9 2ES this Thursday 14 April from 08.30am to 17.30pm.

From Wednesday, 20 April COVID-19 jabs will also be administered at:

Netherfield Meeting Place, Farmborough, Netherfield, Milton Keynes, MK6 4HS.

and

Conniburrow Community Centre, 37-39 Conniburrow Blvd, Milton Keynes, MK14 7DX.

The full schedule is below.

These new locations are open to anyone over the age of 12. Those attending aged between 12 and 16 must be accompanied by somebody with parental authority.

All sessions are offered on a walk-in basis.  There is no need to book; those wanting to be vaccinated simply need to turn up at the times indicated on the table.

Geraint Davies, Senior Responsible Officer for NHS Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes Clinical Commissioning Group said:

“Vaccinations are still vitally important to ensure we keep COVID at bay.  We have been looking at how we can best meet the needs of people who have not yet been vaccinated, as well as delivering the latest recommendations regarding vaccinations for all 5-11 year olds and Spring boosters for people at greatest risk from COVID-19.

“I am delighted that we are now able to offer more vaccination opportunities in Milton Keynes, whilst we finalise arrangements for a more permanent facility.  Feedback from patients and community organisations also tells us that by offering vaccination pop ups at various locations will help us to meet the different needs of all our different communities as effectively as possible and ensure that vaccinations continue to be easy and convenient to access for people across Milton Keynes.

“To make the process as seamless as possible, people can book a Vaxi cab free of charge to get them to the Centre, free of charge.”
